It's All About Family

Amanda and her family were the hosts for our family holiday. It's a ten hour drive for us, and an eight hour drive for Kate. Amanda's mother, Linda, my sister, is in a nursing home. She's been too ill for the last 18 months to care for herself.

Amanda's husband is a soldier, currently deployed, so being with family meant the world to her, too. He has earned one of our countries top honors.

It wasn't easy bringing my sister in her wheelchair, but it was accomplished...and here we are all together for the first time in many, many years...it was such a blessing to have this day!!

After lots of photos, food and laughs, we began our long drive home...

I have some crazy weeks coming up, so I hope to catch up with everyone a little at a time...
