Enjoying a wet Monday!

The rain has arrived in the north. There was surface water and some flooding on my route to Haltwhistle for the Festival Committee this morning. The temperature is down to 4 degrees C, so that makes the rain seem worse.

What to blip? On my way home I stopped at Housesteads Roman Fort. It's currently closed for work on one of the modern buildings and a group of men in high viz jackets and hard hats were busy.

"You're not from the DSS?" quipped this one, but he seemed quite happy to pose momentarily. I said I wanted a picture of someone enjoying working in the rain but I don't think he understood!!
