Kruidnoten

Went to Den Haag for a ramble and came across a feast of kruidnoten! Not to be confused with pepernoten, which are chewy and aniseedy gingery cinnamony bites. Kruidnoten are also aniseedy gingery and cinnamony but crunchy, not chewy (that's what I hear, I haven't tasted them yet). Getting ready for sinterklaas aka St Nicholas (December 5th).
