Grass vs. Asphault

Just finished up a book entitled "Lawn People", which explores the idea behind why people who generally have lawns fit into the demographic which environmentalist generally falls into (upper class, educated, white)...and are generally fairly aware that the chemicals and fertilizers needed to maintain a pristine green lawn are bad, yet still continue to treat their lawns in this manner. Half of me thinks its all bullshit, the other half of me finds it fascinating.

Today was pretty rough....4 classes, followed by a healthy dose of homework because I'm going snowboarding tomorrow (ok, so can I really complain?) can tire a boy out. I think that I'm finally getting far enough into the semester where the shit is starting to hit the fan. Tests popping up out of nowhere, papers upon papers, and enough reading to bury a small child in printed text.

Ah, the joys of college...I should embrace them while the last, because I know I'm gonna be bummed on getting a real job.
