Chestnut-naped Antpitta

We’re at a new lodge which I think is called Casa Simpson in the Tapichalaca Reserve. Now in the eastern side of the Andes in southern Ecuador.

This is a chestnut-naped antpitta. It’s a pretty big bird. Maybe 9 inches tall? A local ranger called it in by whistling and tossing it worms.
