A new shape

7.4C and grey. Felt cool out walking in the breeze. Definitely grey.

Apothecary7 went back to work today so Maeve the Deerhound and I went back to our usual routine and went for a walk after lunch. We walked up to the church and down the field with the bridle path. The ploughing that we had seen on Friday was being continued today. Almost two thirds of the area left in that particular field was ploughed when we noticed the tractor. The farmer that has the field with the bridle path has been doing a little ploughing and harrowing too. A test patch perhaps. The harrow was sitting in the field near the rows of bales when we walked by. The bales will need to be taken away before he can do much more.

We walked along the cycle path and through the gate and then the level crossing and down onto the beach. Tide not fully in and plenty of wet firm sand for walking. The owner of 'Shamara II' was working about when we got along to the Fishermen's huts. I noticed a new shape of float on the creel rack ... blip :-)

We carried on along the beach to the car park and I noticed that the sand was covering lots of seaweed. That explains why I hadn't noticed much seaweed on Friday. It was very bouncy to walk over !

Later we will have the last of the soup that I made recently (I had frozen some portions). It'll soon be time to make some more.
... and Yotam Ottolenghi will be on More4 at 9pm exploring Tunisia :-)
