Autumn walk

We woke to rain this morning, very welcome but not so pleasant to walk in.  By 9.30am it had eased off so I was able to take my usual Sunday walk in Epping Forest with Zeus09smum and Zeus.  As we walked, the sun did eventually make an appearance as you see but the Autumn colours are not truly at their best yet. I was delighted to see a Fly Agaric  fungus, albeit rather a tatty specimen. 
This afternoon we went to Forty Hall to see the rooms dressed for Halloween.  It really was splendidly scary, in fact too scary for an under the weather Violet.  She is featured in extras  wearing this year's Halloween outfit and steadfastly refusing to look at the camera.  Also featured is Forty Hall itself: the darkness of the ghostly rooms meant that I didn't get any successful(mobile only) shots inside.
