Hverir, Myvatn

A wonderful day trip to the north of Iceland.

We spent the day in the Lake Myvatn area seeing many many examples of volcanic geology. This was at Hverir, a sulphur mountain where there were various hot springs and mud pools. It was also really smelly!! You soon learned to stay upwind of the geology.
