butterflies and hurricanes

Spent the afternoon with N&S, two of our very dear friends. Their little welsh fella No.1 was in a whirlwind of excitement - captivated most of the day by all things outdoorsey, not least this butterfly which was resting on a raised herbyflowerbed.

Not the best photo of the day, but the one that sums up a magic moment perfectly.

Which got me thinking about how us 'grown-ups' often don't notice the little things: the magic moments that, if we're not careful, can flutter-by.
