Sandpipers!

High Street shopping in Montrose this morning  -  noticed that Peacocks have taken over the shop closed by New Look last month.  Had a look round  -  saw a few things I could wear  -  but didn't buy!  Then off down to Montrose Basin and the Bank of Scotland Hide.  Found some binoculars there   -  thinking someone had left them there forgetfully I took them up to the Reception Desk.  The Ranger there said that it was part of a new policy  -  to have binoculars in the Hide permanently.  So far nobody had stolen them, although a few people had returned them not knowing of the new policy!  There was one lone Heron out in the rushes, and lots of gulls, lapwings and sandpipers out in the water.  I've chosen the sandpipers because of their distinctive reflections. This LINK tells their UK story!   All four Seasons today  -  rain, mist, wind, clouds, sun -  so far no snow☺
