Golden Glow

It was Alison's last day with us today but unfortunately things didn't go to plan, due to the fact that we have no central heating and no hot water!

We had the central heating system serviced a couple of weeks ago and the boiler had to have a new part fitted, however it didn't work. The engineer said he'd need to come back, but over the weekend we started to have problems and by last night it had stopped working. So my morning was spent chasing them to find out what was happening. It turns out they hadn't ordered the replacement part, so we now have to wait until they get it!

As I missed my Monday morning Zumba class, we went to the lunch time class instead - at least it meant we could have a nice warm shower at the gym, and friends have kindly lent us some electric heaters to keep warm. Just hope it gets fixed soon though as the temperatures are set to drop later this week!

Anyway, before we left to take Alison to the airport, we went for a walk with Louis. It was just going dusk and the colour of the sky was wonderful - it looked like it was on fire. It makes me feel warm just looking at it :-)
