Anthurium

This was intended to be a Tiny Tuesday Stamen entry but after a little research I found out that is is not a stamen but a Spadix which contains loads of tiny flowers.

My first problem was finding out what the flower was called but a Google search for "Rude Flower"  found it straight away.

Unfortunately the flower is slightly moth-eaten but is an amazing colour.

It was a good opportunity to try out the new studio lights I have just purchased. They were quite a bargain bought 'used' from Wex but in fact they are brand new and unused with just a slightly damaged cardboard box
