Conservation projects have a more winter-y theme now.
Pine come bird feeders are a win, it's messy and has quick results. It's not unusual to see the most curious birds checking out their new restaurant within an hour of hanging them up. It's also not unusual to find little groups of children in strange places or around awkward windows watching the birds come and go, which is fantastic.
