Quite the surprise, this one. 

Dropped by her record label at the age of 19, she nevertheless managed to score a hit with Kylie by writing Kiss Me Once. As well as writing songs for a pretty impressive list of others, she has yet to release her debut album.

She packed the Arts Club tonight and it was a properly good gig. She has an engaging personality and definitely has the songs.

Here's the thing, though. She also plays professional football for Fulham FC. Or is it the other way around? Footballer can sing, shocker.

Either way, she burns the candle at both ends and it seems to be working OK at the moment. I suspect one will have to give at some point.
