Autumn is finally showing up

My cousin Sheri is on her way back to Cleveland as I am posting this photo. She had some crazy flight where she had to go to Chicago to catch her plane to Cleveland..now I know why I hate to fly anywhere.  I think she is going to drive down the next time she comes!    There was also the problem of taking home her Carolina moonshine..it will be here when she comes back!    Or I may have to take a trip North!  

Our weather is still being perfect for fall!  I walked the dog a long way today and was greeted with so much leaf color down the road..this red color and a golden color on another tree really stood out.    It is mostly still green in my yard..the oak leaves are actually just brown and dried out.  

Tomorrow I have a luncheon at my former workplace.  The company invites all the retirees back for a meal and catch up on the news...probably on the insurance they provide for us.      Part of the day will be house cleaning...nothing has been done in the last week!   Fun stuff!

A friend's daughter called me today to talk about taking some senior portrait photos for her.   So we will give this a try next week.  I am not a portrait photographer but she said she wants just "normal" photos and not "froo-froo" shots.    This child is very much an outdoor person so we will be doing some shots outside for sure..maybe even with some farm animals.  Looking forward to it!
