RAF Radar Museum
There were a lot of these knitted poppies on display around the RAF Radar Museum for the upcoming 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. G, M and I had a very enlightening day there today, learning about the development of Radar and its use in WWII. We also looked around the rest of the museum which included a rather scary Cold War control room (see Extra). One reason for visiting now was to see an excellent exhibition of photos by the ex-Chair of our camera club of military aircraft in flight - a very scary job taking those! There was also an opportunity to sit in a Jaguar cockpit, which I was going to do and then changed my mind when I saw how cramped it was! Very thought provoking.
