Snow, Man
It started snowing this morning just as I left the house. By the time I got to Edinburgh it was coming down by the bucket load and the pavements were especially slippy (feeling rather smug as I was wearing my hiking boots).
Morning proceeded as expected until about 11am. Then the fire alarm went off and we all had to troup outside into the blizzard.
Apparantly its bad form to stop and collect your coat on the way out of the building when there is a fire alarm. But seeing as it was snowing so hard and the flames weren't licking around our heels we all ignored this particular piece of advice. As you can see I also collected my camera (which is, to be fair, right by my desk) - I'm not about to let that go up in smoke am I!!
This chap was trying to continue his business as the snow was coming down in sheets. Alternate shots/rejects today:
> Colleague in the Snow
> Trudge (such a good word!!)
> Snowy Church
Hopefully the snow won't cause too much disruption on the way home...

LOTD: David:seventyseven's 8 octas blip is a great shot and crop. I love the way the people look like layers of cardboard cutouts.
