Lily all alone

This has been an awful day. Woke up to find our beloved wee Maple missing. Hutch and run area all totally secure. No sign of anything being wrong. We’ve searched the integral tunnels in case he was there. And searched and checked everything was secure over and over again. We have to conclude that Maple was stolen overnight. Although recovered well from his illness, as he was so used to being picked up to get his meds, if he was caught unawares he probably wouldn’t struggle. Lily on the other hand would not have been so easy to grab.
I have no words for how sad I feel. Maple fought so hard to live, it is difficult for me to comprehend why this has happened to him.
