Generosity

People’s generosity is not limited to donating to the Poppy Appeal. Now on my sixth day Collecting I had slipped into some sort of routine - coffee and toast at 1230 - looked forward to with relish.
Today, just after 12, a donor told me that he had pre-paid for a coffee for me in one of the coffee chains, a really nice gesture.
Off I went, chose a ‘Flat White’ and was told there was a cake to go with it and the change into the Poppy Box, what a star.

It’s not the first ‘free’ coffee this week, a really lovely lady and former colleague Chrissie paid for a coffee and the guys at my former employer, Steve and Paul have been generous with the late afternoon coffee as well.

Really great to be appreciated.
