Roof slates

A sunny, but cold day, so a trip up into the mountains to one of the thermal spas - St Thomas Les Bains - see extra blip.  Pretty chilly weather, but in the water it was 35 degrees so all was well.

A detour on the way back , turning off at Olette to Evol, one of the "loveliest villages in France"  Over shadowed by a very impressive 12th century castle, one thing that I was interested in seeing were slates being prepared for re-roofing a building.  I had no idea how large they are!
