Orford

A fine walk around the Suffolk coastal village of Orford, starting at St Batholomew's; passing the castle; joining the River Butley near the ferry, which first operated in the 16th century; enjoying the reflection of sunlight from the tidal mudflats, opposite the wartime structures on Orford Ness; returning to the village at the harbour, where fresh oysters were bought.
