puffer tales

My well thumbed 1986 copy of Neil Munro's tales of skipper "Para Handy"of the Clyde puffer Vital Spark first published 1931 sits alongside Stuart Donald's "Complete new tales of Para Handy" published 2001 which I recently found in a charity shop. Great fun and although was sceptical at first about new tales I am enjoying them fine.
For Clyde watchers the extra is a postcard of the wee coal pier at Dunoon a favourite berth of puffers, maybe thats the funnel of the Vital Spark beside the crane
