Atcham Bridge

Today F and I met up with friends from near Birmingham. We meet a couple of times a year for a meal at Telford which is the half way point.
F has been friends with A since primary school so it's a very long term friendship.

It was great to catch up with them and had a delicious meal too (raspberry and chocolate fondant for pudding - yum!)

On the way back we stopped to admire Atcham Bridge near Shrewsbury which crosses the River Severn. It's a beautiful bridge built in 1774, the newer one (behind the old bridge in the photo) was built in 1929 and carries the traffic over the river.
