16th century

I wanted to show you this old castle door we got at an auction several years ago. Supposedly, it is from the 16th century. We just thought it was cool. Well, when Glenn went to pick it up the next day there was a guy who was an antique's dealer and said that when he looked at it he thought it looked authentic. Now we wonder what this door has experienced?!! Are the mars and notches from a war?? Did this door protect a king and his family in it's day? Fun to think about :)
