Waiting

We went up the way on a no 36, on which we were joined in Bonnington Rd by Sian and S and K, whom she'd just picked up from the school.  We all went up as far as the Dean Gardens through which we wandered, for K then to get her hair cut in Stockbridge and for us to walk home via the Water of Leith. Although by the time we got to Beaverbank we found that the road and the footpath were closed for works, so picked up the bus for the rest of the way home. Then there'd been an accident in Great Junction St which had been closed off, and traffic was backed up all around the area. D later read that it had involved a cement mixer lorry and an 80 yr-old pedestrian. :-(
