When I cycle to school the difficulty of ascending a certain section of road gives me a good guide to my current state of wellbeing.

Sometimes I feel great but then find it's a real slog. Today I felt so-so and it was a real slog.

Double double science with year 11 will sort all that out.

We're doing the halogens today, having been through transition metals, alkali metals and the noble gases.

There are some good demonstrations to be done with halogens but fume cupboards and a good supply of the appropriate halogen can make it more complicated.
