Love Saves the Day
I absolutely love this jumper from Hush. Not only do I love the pale grey and green colour, but I also managed to get it half-off in the sale! Plus the slogan certainly aligns with my views.... ;-)
It's been a bit of a rubbish week. My phone and Macbook space are maxed out, so I've been a bit lax with taking any pictures at the moment. My lovely TA called in sick Sunday night, and she was out the whole week. She's had a large lump above her breast for several months- we believe from a knock she took from a metal post at school, but she's been worried about it and we urged her to get to the doctor. It's been causing her increasing pain (hence the week off) and she had the tests on Wednesday, including a biopsy. She's on the surface very pragmatic, but despite our collective positivity, behind closed doors I'm fearing the worst. She's due her results on Wednesday next week, and I'm terrified they're going to say this sodding bump turns out to be cancer. I did do a bit of research with Dr Google, and whilst there of course could be other reasons, the worrier in me expects the worst.
I suppose there's nothing we can do until then. I've really missed her at school this week, it's just not been the same without her. The children have undoubtedly felt her absence as well. So it's been a bit of a funny week- actually not particularly funny, trying to fight fires in quick succession when you're a crew member down.
I was supposed to have several viewings on my house this weekend, but two rescheduled and one was a no-show which was rather frustrating! I was also supposed to be going to a wedding, but ended up being the only one available to dog-sit poor B so it's a quiet weekend!
To round the week off nicely, I've had two more rejections for my book! Disappointing but not unexpected. I have started to wonder what I'll do when I've exhausted most of the literary agencies in London- maybe I'll have to accept that it's shite! One felt that it 'wouldn't be able to place it in the current market'. Excuse me? What, you don't think the current climate is questioning the effects of the education system on the mental health crisis of our children? Go figure.
I did try and pen a few words to write some sort of fiction, but I'm not sure I'm good at this type of genre, and I'm a bit lost as to what to actually write.
The nice thing of this week was a couple of afternoon play sessions with Looby-Lou, as my mum affectionately calls her. She's good fun, and it's rewarding when she's so receptive. It fact, it's quite a struggle to divide my attention when both she and the dog are there! I have to have children, I don't want to miss out on this.
