Mesopotamia Station

A very early start, out to Temuka to pick up teejay then on the road to Geraldine, Peel Forest (coffee) and onwards towards Mesopotamia Station.  I've been up there a few times, and always loved the vastness and unspoiled landscapes.
Disappointing (or not) the weather wasn't that great initially, with howling nor-west winds, cloud covering the mountains.  But a few lots of stops using up time rewarded us with clearing skies.  We went a bit off road for a while and it really was worth the bumpy, sometimes water, rocky track.  The view were smashing, the mountains looking awesome.  My blip is one of 380 images I took today - I've put a few on facebook.

Very weary after a long day, battling the wind and sometimes rain.  But when the skies cleared it was very worth it.
