Working from home
One of the advantages of Mr B working from home is that when we get up in the morning to once-in-a-lifetime snow, we can just all go straight out and get an early start on some snow fun. One of the disadvantages, is always being on call!
"I'm on the beach because it's snowing"
People must think we're a bit odd, but the snow had gone all slushy when it started raining at lunch time, so I think going out before breakfast was quite the way to go.
The tide was as far out as we've seen it in a long time (logically I suppose given the high high tide yesterday) and the whole beach was covered in snow. The seagulls looked a bit confused by the snow.
The snow seemed to bring out all the loony drivers (or maybe they were the only ones who chanced the roads today): parking on pelican crossings, speeding through the village at 40mph despite the slippery roads and number of kids racing about like mad things.
Speaking of 'working from home', the rest of my day was filled with tidying the kids' playroom again (with yet more storage boxes) and making marmalade. I forget every time quite how much work it is. And that actually I don't much like marmalade. Maybe tomorrow I'll use the excess sugar I 'accidentally' bought to make some fudge...
