Remembrance

Peebles now is adorned with many poppies on lampposts each carrying the name of a casualty of the First World War.

George Dunn was a pattern warehouseman, aged 33 years.  He enlisted in September 1914, but wasn't sent to France until February 1917.   He was killed by a sniper's bullet on 30th December 1917.   He left a widow, and a 6 year old daughter.
