Aldwych

A day trip to London for a Hidden London tour of the disused Aldwych Tube Station. Closed in the early 1990's when it was only getting 400 or so customers a day, and the lifts needed £3,000,000 spending on them to keep them in good working order. Since then it has been kept, and is often used as a filming location. The history of the station included a period spent storing the likes of the Elgin marbles during the second world war, and also time as a bomb shelter.

Following that we headed off to Leake Street for a look around the grafitti and then a little bit of time in the city. A good day out!
