Kookaburra

My uncle has been feeding kookaburras for over 30 years in his garden.
So sometimes they sit on the fence and just look at him until he gets the meat.
I have even seen them eat from his hand.

This kookaburra has still got some meat on his beak.

Kookaburras (genus Dacelo) are terrestrial tree kingfishers native to Australia and New Guinea. They are large to very large, with a total length of 28-42 cm (11-17 in) Kookaburras are best known for their unmistakable call, which sounds uncannily like loud, echoing human laughter
