Theban Wanderings...

This, is the majestic and timeless view of the Theban Necropolis, which is....The Qorna Mountain, West Bank, Luxor.

Here you see just 3 tombs in the foreground, that are; The tombs of Knonsu, Userhet and Benia.

In the background, is the mighty Qurna mountain and the Qurn (The Mountain peak)
The reason for the tombs of the ancients, as they believed (And so we are told) is that they saw the peak/pyramid shape, mirrored in the Giza Plateau (The Pyramids) and built here.

Can you imagine wandering amongst such history? I can and do...it's wonderful!
