Seasonal delight

I decided to tidy up one of the garden borders this afternoon given the weather was good and I needed some physical exercise.  A couple of years ago, the border only existed as a wild, uncultivated area full of the worst kind of weed.  There’s still lots to be done to get the planting right but it was a joy to turn over and the weeds are generally of the more temporary kind.  Clearing out the dead and dying summer bedding revealed some lovely hellebores.  Not everything goes dormant over the winter – there will still be some delights and cheer.
