Ross Fountain

Today I went for a walk for around half an hour at lunchtime to take some photos - I was soooooo excited! I can't remember when I had time like that to myself at lunchtime. If I do take a break its either to run round the corner for some soup or go for a work lunch. The Gardens were eeirly quiet and they have the "between seasons" feeling. They will fill up again soon with Christmas tourists.

I took quite a lot of shots but opted for this typically tourist shot of Ross Fountain and the Castle in the background. The figures on the fountain include mermaids and four females depicting science, the arts, poetry, and industry. A female figure stands at the apex of the fountain.
