The small stuff

I'm always drawn to sparkles and grand buildings, but in the Blipper spirit, I've been looking out for the little things. The Halloween decorations at the dementia centre have disappeared and they are now selling knitted poppies for Rememberance day. Obviously I had to buy a couple and it was on my mind when I took an evening walk. Spotting these made me think of bravery, of sacrifice and doing something for others. We're not all warriors, but there"s always something we can contribute. The awesome woman who runs my book group and her amazing tribe of helpers raised hundreds of pounds for a local charity that helps women who are struggling. They packed bags and raised awareness in a local supermarket. So thank you to those whose courage and sacrifice gave us the lives we have and the heroes and heroines who do what they can to keep making a difference to someone.
