Craning my neck...

...I was able to grab this photo from the top floor.

Somehow, and don't ask me how, a company has managed to buy three lovely old six or seven bedroomed house in a row, get permission to knock them down and is just starting to build a care home.

I walked past the site last week and the foundations are in, the cement plant has been installed and today, in the rain, they have erected the site crane.

Hopefully the building will be tasteful and not too tall - I'll keep you posted.
