RIP

Was saddened to hear of Marks passing two weeks ago. Such a lovely guy. Was his funeral today so I made sure I could make it to show my respect and thanks.

Very touching tribute from Andrew M induced tears and laughter and it was good to see so many old colleagues there. Also got a lift from Tonto to the wake and catchup over coffee with him since he no longer blips.

I first met Mark back in ‘96 when he came to Dundee and vetted our company’s capability to be a supplier. We hit it off straight away and that meeting and subsequent work with him and others at Widows has shaped the last 20 years of my career and life, including me joining Widows for a stint. Mark always kept in touch, even 10 years after leaving I’d still get a message every now and then from him to see how I was doing, liking something I’d posted or asking for my view on something he was looking at. He’d tried a couple of times to get me back into widows and would have been great to work with him again, sadly will never happen now.

Rest in peace mate. Was a real pleasure knowing you.
