War Memorial Month - Day 6

Wickford.
I have driven past the entrance to Wickford Memorial Park on many occasions but never realised that it was there.

Only when I got home did I find out about the unusual floor layout in front of the memorial.  The  parade ground is laid out in the pattern of the original floor plan of the Wickford Memorial Nurses Home.  Wickford residents had chosen to commemorate the lives of those who had been killed during the Great War by constructing a living memorial.
