Cooper's Hawk

The Cooper's Hawk is a common sight in parks and at backyard bird feeders.  He was at my feeder this afternoon - but not looking for seed.  These hawks eat birds, especially medium sized birds like starlings, blue jays, mourning doves, and robins.

I know nature is nature, but I must say I was relieved when he flew off after a few minutes, without any lunch.
