Lawrence

An incredibly long day yesterday. We left the hotel at 9.00am and arrived at our destination hotel in Lawrence, Kansas at 9.30pm but that was the equivalent of 3.30am in the UK, so over 18 hours on the move. I only managed to post a Blip of sorts while moving along in the queue for the terminal transfer shuttle at Chicago airport, and we eventually managed about four hours sleep each before being awake at 4am! It was a lovely bright, cold morning so we went out fairly early for breakfast and a long walk during which we passed this church looking attractive amongst the last of the Fall colours.

Later we visited our friend who lives here and went out for lunch with her. Now back at the hotel late afternoon - I suspect we might be having an early night!
