Merseyrail or Miseryrail?

Being constantly bombarded with tannoy warnings, notices, rules, risks, dangers and conditions is no fun.

Baggage left unattended may be removed and destroyed; Travel safe - hold tight on the escalator; keep right; smoking is not allowed on any platforms; if you see anything that doesn’t look right, report it  or text the Transport Police; See it, say it sort it; feet on seats or side of seats is an offence, you are on CCTV; not got a valid ticket you’ll be fined - with the constant physical reminder from tough looking security staff who look kitted out for trouble!
