Lightship
I was for business in the city today. During lunchbreak I walked through that part of the city center I like very much. The neighborhood around the maritime museum. The scene there changes every time and there are dozens of positions from which you can shoot.
At the moment I was there one could sense a bit of sunlight and some small bits of blue in the sky. That made a wonderful sky as background for an everyday scene along the quays. Although I had my D4 in the car I daren't take the risk to go for it. The light was now and you never know what it will be after 5 minutes. So I pictured this scene with the compact in my pocket (but I have to mention that the compact can shoot the pictures in a RAW format). If not, the result would have been totally different.
The picture is made from the Leeuwenbrug (Lion Bridge) and the ship in the foreground is a former lightship but nowadays a Spanish (Tapas) restaurant. The clear white screen is a movie screen. In spring and summer it serves the guests on the ship as a small outdoor cinema ... ;)
