I11
A shot of beamline I11 at Diamond Light Source. I've never used this beamline, and don't have a great idea of what they do here, but it had the best lighting when I walked round with my camera.
I11 is a powder diffraction beamline, where diffraction of x-rays from the Diamond synchrotron are used to study the structure of naturally occurring and man made materials with near atomic resolution. They've studied sea shells and jet engine components.
