Gems

My poor ma has had a stiff neck these past few days. You can see it in her posture here. On our outing to the marina we had a couple lovely exchanges. Of a tree with beautiful red leaves she said, "Isn't that bird holder pretty?" And then later, completely out of the blue, she said, "I can't believe I'll be dead in two years!" As I have done  before, I said, "I'll sure miss you when you're gone." She said, "I'll miss me, too!" All to say, I think, that there is much to appreciate on a beautiful Bellingham day.
