Waxwings

There have been quite a few reports of waxwings around Orkney and elsewhere recently and I have had apples out for them. I did think that they had visited when I was out because I am a bit of an expert in their droppings these days. Five arrived today but just before I had to leave the house, so I was only able to take a couple of shots. They may have come from Scandinavia but may have been around for a few days as newcomers are usually very hungry and aggressive around the food, which these ones weren't. When I got home they were around but not on the apples as the neighbour's cats were prowling.
