Windfalls

After a very stormy night there was a break in the weather this morning.  We decided to make the most of it and headed to Loweswater and a walk up Darling Fell.  Unfortunately the rain started to fall heavily when we were half way up the hill and we were well and truly drenched by the time we got back to the car.  On arriving home we discovered that Ernie hadn't closed the front door to the cottage properly and it was lying ajar.  Thankfully, everything was safe and no burglar had visited in our absence!  It was too wild on the hillside to take any photographs so these are some windfalls in the back garden.
