Self-Concept

Lyds and Lauren have both come down with nasty tummy bugs, so I spent my day fetching glasses of water and cold flannels for the poorly penguins. Its so strange seeing them so under the weather, there was literally nothing I could do to make them feel better; I don't like feeling that helpless.

They slept it off for most of the afternoon, and I was able to make some good progress with my assignment - that's what the photo is for. It's a marketing assignment analysing what marketers include in adverts that motivates the individual to make a purchase. I'm writing specifically on the cosmetics industry, so have been photographing & uploading magazine adverts as my scanner is on the blink.

Anyway, I think the sleep was a good idea for the girls because they both seem brighter this evening. Achey and a bit fragile, but a bit more like their usual selves, which makes for a much happier house.

I had a really good chat with my Mum, too. I haven't spoken to her in a few days, so it was great to have things to catch up on. We're meeting in Bath on Saturday for a bit of Christmas shopping - so excited!
