Engaging people

So, it was tough to pick an image for today - mostly because I've been in such a rush to fit everything in, and the photo opps haven't been great.

What you get is a flip chart diagram from a fantastic course I was on today - Engaging Others. There's jokes somewhere about the next leap year (and I was worried, given the course was being run by Kissing With Confidence ). As it turns out, I was right to book.

The course pressed - sometimes controversially - on the true, internal responses you get from people in the way you present yourself, look at them, shake their hand, and sell your pitch. This is what the diagram represents - networking, relationship building, selling. It sounds a bit business-oriented, but it hit home on what we all really do. And if we tend to get positive outcomes in our lives, it's because we follow this process well, genuinely, confidently.

So, what images didn't you get today ? My bowl of salmon pasta (I need to work on the aesthetics), or my walk home. And I was told it was inappropriate to see if the neighbours were up to the same antics as last night, so that didn't make the cut either.
