BROKE BACK...THE NEED FOR HEIGHT...

Dealing with many students...mainly young ladies...i often see the transition from girl to young lady...woman is for a married female here...and being trained in Film and Photography... to observe people and the environment... in Nanchang as many cities in China, the quest for height is a pivotal moment in their lives.
Many here buy the back breaking high heel shoes (3-6in. heel with platform soles), in my observation, when the young lady finds a suitable boyfriend who is usually taller. But, not always the case...older woman at times in their 40-50s buy the heeled height for the first time too...and go shopping...i usually see them coming...but after a few hours, almost crippling coming back...you can see the pain of walking in these shoes in their faces.
I know ladies in the west who have worn these shoes for a long time...for some they have terrible back pain... given time the same will happen here (Photo by Iain Dewar)
